Nordic Cabin 1 with a lit pond

My husband and I travel to Nova Scotia every summer to visit family on the south shore, golf, swim and hike. Our stay at the Black Salt Retreat in River Port was spectacular. Our hosts created a private, serene, modern two story cabin overlooking Ritcey Cove. The cabin is fully equipped with every modern appliance you need to prepare delicious home cooked meals in this lovely “home away from home.” The cabin is very tastefully appointed and decorated, providing a very tranquil and comfortable stay. The hosts have thought of everything. We enjoyed Nespresso coffee as well as French press style coffee. Our stop came near the end of a leisurely 30 day road trip from the states, so we appreciated the convenience of doing a small load of laundry. The beds, sofas and upholstered hairs - all very comfortable. The stools at the kitchen peninsula were likewise comfortable. We had fun working at a puzzle on the peninsula. We never needed the AC or heat during our stay (mid August) and savored the refreshing water cooled breezes that wafted through the cabin. We didn’t get a chance to try the sauna (so much to explore nearby!) or try out the outdoor grill, but appreciated they were available to us in an exclusive, private setting. We hope to make a return visit next summer. Our hosts were great.

Black Salt has everything you could ever need to make your stay perfect!!! The kitchen is fully stocked, hot tub is great and the cottages are so beautiful! It’s a beautiful area to explore too! Can’t wait to come back! :)

Fantasic Positive: Everything was amazing the cabins are beautiful and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need if you like to cook. Beds are really comfy shower is good. We were two couples and it was really well designed for privacy a lounge room off the upstairs bed room and the second bedroom is downstairs near the second lounge room. Negative: Nothing all good
